About this website:

This is the personal website of Lukas Gabriel. It is hosted at DigitalOcean and runs on the Ghost CMS system with a modified version of the Casper Theme. Most of the images are taken from Unsplash. Currently, there's not that much to see or do here, but that might change.

About me:

I am a 19-year-old university student studying Digital Enterprise Management at the Business School Pforzheim, Germany. I am building this website to have fun, learn web design and as a self-marketing effort. If you want to reach out to me, the contact form is the best way to get in touch. Oh, and here's my LinkedIn page, just in case you want to hire me or something.

Why does this website exist?

First and foremost, this is a project for fun. My #1 goal with this website is to get creative, try out new things and have fun along the way. As you can see, the website is quite lifeless and empty right now. I don't have a real plan on what I want do do with it yet, but I'll do something for sure. To get notified when I "officially launch" the site (if you wanna call it that), give the subscribe button a click.

I have always had an interest in web design. I started learning HTML and CSS when I was in primary school but never really did anything with my very limited skills. I also have an active interest in graphic design. Here is some of my less embarrassing work; I might write something about some of my projects on here in the future.

Now that I'm in college, my interest in web design got rekindled by a project me and a few other students worked on. You can have a look at that over at studyDEM.com. Because Web Design is a major subject in my study program, freshening up my skills a bit by developing my own web presence is kind of a no-brainer.

Next in line would be learning JavaScript. I'm proud to say that there are exactly nine lines of JavaScript running on this website that I wrote myself. And it even does what it's supposed to - like magic.

But I've still got a lot to learn, so if you find a mistake on the site, have feedback or an idea, or just want to say something mean (or even nice) to me, don't hesitate to pop me a message.

Thanks for stopping by,
